In Asheville I worked at a nonprofit dedicated to the care and development of children. I mainly worked with ages 11-18 in the residential programs as direct care/academy teacher/recreation coordinator, but helped with the child development program/summer camp as a lifeguard as well. While working there I was regularly certified in CPR/First Aid/Bloodborne Pathogens/Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. Prior to that, I had experience helping at an at-risk youth summer camp in Boone while interning with a local non profit. I've also periodically helped babysit throughout my life of course, as well as the "typical" big-sister babysitting of my younger brother growing up!
