Hello my name is Rachel and I have over 14 years of child care experience. I started when I was 12. I have 26 hours of child development courses completed. I am CPR and First Aid certified. And I have my own car. I have worked at daycares and child development centers in the past. And used to work at my church nursery. I work there for over 8 years. I have worked as a nanny for two familys. The first family was a family of 3 boys. I looked after the boys, did light house work, made sure they finished there schooling, and prepared meals (and this family did not have much, so i can use my imagination to made a meal). The family also had animals so i helped feed and water. I also taught the boys how to feed, water, handling and basics of animal care. I Read more am nannying for a family now. I have an amazing relationship with them and have been working for this family for over 3 years now. the child is going to school in the fall. Most of my experience is with babies to 3-4 years olds. But have work with older children a good deal and love them just as much. I know a little sign language, and am very good at teaching babies early Communication. I love to read books with kids and tell stories (I do all kinds of voices). I love the outdoors, going for walks, gardening, finding bugs, or tracking down the biggest leaf or acorn. I am good in the kitchen and love having children help out as much as they can. I also sing (a lot). And love having dance parties. (30’s through 60’s are my favorite dance songs). I also enjoy crafts, drawing, painting, etc ( Nothing too elaborate). I am great at teaching/ helping babies and toddlers to communicate use there words and manners. I am looking to pick up more hours now and hopefully a long term job later (in the fall) if it is available. Please give me a call to ask for any other info.
