Hi there! I am a 30 year old mom of a 9 year old and 1 year old boy. I have been working in childcare since I was 11 years old. I started out babysitting for family and friends, then worked as a Daycare Assisstant for my grandmother’s daycare. I began doing summer and overnight care when I was 16 and I also began volunteering at my local elementary school during my study hall and free time that same year and continued until after my first year of college. I wanted a change of pace so I moved to another city and found a live in nanny job. I absolutely loved it. I worked with that family for about a year. Since then I have had my own children and have done babysitting as well as cashiering on our family’s food truck. I love pets but I am allergic to Read more cats so sadly I can not cuddle them and will need to be warned if cats are present so that I can prepare myself with allergy medicine. I do have two small dogs in my home that will be crated while other children are present if I babysit in my home. My sons will typically be with me unless it’s late night sitting in your home. My husband is also home with us on nights, weekends, and occasionally during the week. I have experience with all ages and I enjoy working with all ages. I have experience with asthma and adhd. Growing up with a deaf sister I know American Sign Language (though I am a bit rusty) and I know some Spanish from 3 years of Spanish in high school and picking up on it from friends and family. I am looking to do mostly after school care in my home weekly (for bus drop off I am zoned for Lonnie B Nelson Elementary and EL Wright, but I do pick ups at polo road Elementary as well and am open to discussing pick up from another school as long as time permits) , my hours are flexible, and I would be willing to do occasional day/night/weekend care.
