Once a child is left in my care, I treat them as my own or as I would want my child to be treated. My experience includes working in child protective services in the investigations department. While maintaining a caseload, my duties also consisted of sitting with minor children for 12 hours on the weekends. We have to feed the child and help with their medications during that time. I have also received training in de-escalating situations among minor children. While being a caseworker, I found it relatable to adolescents and meet kids where they are by being understandable. I exhibit strong communication and listening skills and will be able to demonstrate great protective capacity skills. I am currently a teaching assistant for Kindergarten.
