Hi, my name Annabel Holmes. I am a college graduate planning to pursue additional studies in the Fall of 2025. I am looking for a part-time nannying/babysitting position and I am able to work week nights and/or weekends. In addition to several years of non-regular babysitting and volunteer childcare experience, I have one year of experience working part-time as the lead nursery worker for an infant-toddler room, and I have three years of experience teaching and caring for children ages 1-6 in a Montessori preschool. I take delight in helping children explore and learn in their environment, and in using art and other open ended, creative activities to give children a chance to freely grow their interests and try new things. I grew up without TV and always encourage children towards activities which do not involve screens. I have many hobbies, a few of which include sewing, reading, crochet, learning Read more languages, art, playing guitar, and learning about the natural world. Taking care of and lovingly nurturing children is a privilege which has taught me so much. I have found that young children, even if provided with all kinds of toys, distractions, and interactions, really just want to be with the adult(s) in their life, doing life together, getting that quality attention, and joining in with whatever you are doing, whether it’s reading books together, making cookies, or pulling weeds. I have experience in potty training babies, toddlers, and preschoolers and have worked with little ones at every stage of that journey. I hold a current CPR certification and am willing to consider pursuing further training if there is a strong preference or requirement. I am happy to help with some housework and the general flow of afternoon/evening household duties. I have my own car, and I am comfortable with helping children settle down to sleep for naps or nighttime. Feel free to contact me for references and more information.
