Hi there! I am a nature school teacher for pre-school and elementary children, so I strive to encourage a love for the outdoors and a sense of adventure in the children I care for! With toddlers and above, I encourage independence by taking the time to slow down and teach them how to do things on their own, rather than doing it for them every time. Some of the first things I teach my students at nature school is to unzip and unclip backpacks, navigate lunchboxes, and get their shoes on and off independently. I am happy to help when needed, but I always encourage students to learn skills on their own, and walk them through the steps as they learn. I am regularly responsible for 6 children as a solo teacher, and assist in building interpersonal skills by talking them through problem solving with their peers. I have a Read more patient and organized approach to childcare, and thrive in routine-based schedules that allow room for spontaneous adventure and field trips as well. While I am open to babysitting jobs, I am hoping to find a regular nannying job that can allow me to be an extra set of hands and long-term support for a local family! I am currently in the off season of my job, and can provide full time support and work hours.
