I started babysitting because of my little sister. My dad fell ill when I was just thirteen so I decided to take my sister under my wing. She had an undiagnosed learning disability at the time and the progress I could see I was making with her was too rewarding to quit. I wanted to help kids like I’ve helped her, so that’s what I did, and I love my job for that reason. I love working in childcare because I value children’s early education and enjoy getting to help them learn to properly handle their emotions. Childcare is a wonderful field to be in.

I am working on my master's in psychology for child and adolescent development!! I want to obtain my PhD in cognitive and neural sciences so I can help children/adults living with or without disabilities and trauma. My goal is to provide a safe place for emotional regulation and to teach individuals how to discover and love themselves. While working on my bachelors, I: - Babysat 2 preteens (both with FAS-Fetal Alcohol Syndrome) - Nanny for 5 children, ages 5 months to 12 yrs old (12 yr old stutter, 10 yr old ADHD, 7 yr old dyslexia, 3 yr old developmental delay) - Special Needs Aide for grades kinder through 5th (Autism, Developmental Delay, Learned Helplessness, Trauma, Learning Disabilities) - Nanny little girl from 5 months to 2 yrs old - Babysat 4 siblings & 3 nephews ages 5 to 12 yrs old (11 yr old ADHD, 10 yr old ADHD/Autism, 7 yr old ODD - Oppositional Defiant Disorder) - Volunteered for the children's Coast Guard MWR (Morale, Welfare, and Recreation) Club I was a police officer in the Coast Guard for a couple years. I received trainings for emergency response protocol, domestic violence, suicide awareness, cpr/first aid, active shooters, overdosing, and natural disasters. After my 4 years, I decided I wanted to work in the field of psychology with children, especially early intervention. I have experience with all ages, and have a natural connection with kids in general. They are my passion. I believe there are no bad children. It is our responsibility to provide the appropriate guidance and positively teach them how to learn from failures, properly regulate emotions, and establish a healthy style of communication. We are preparing generations to come for successful independence in adulthood. I work a full time job with an HVAC distributing company Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm. My availability is anything around those hours!
