Hi families! My name is Samiya, and I absolutely love working with children. I have always enjoyed being around kids and getting to know their little personalities, whether they are super energetic, shy and quiet, or somewhere in between. I love creating a space where children feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. I have experience caring for infants, toddlers, and older children. I am comfortable with everything from bottles, diaper changes, naps, meals, and playtime to helping with routines and big emotions. I know every child is different, so I always try to learn what works best for each child and each family. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and I am currently working toward my master’s degree. I am also a Certified Nanny and Newborn Care Specialist and have training in CPR and First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, and Trauma Informed Care. I understand how hard it can be to leave your little ones with someone else, so I want parents to feel comfortable knowing their children are in good hands. I’m also big on communication and will always keep you updated and make sure you feel at ease while you’re away.
