I am writing to express my interest in working as a caregiver for Sittercity. I am currently employed at Sue’s Home Daycare LLC since September 2015. In addition, I am currently enrolled in nursing school at Mount Saint Mary’s College and will be graduating in May 2018. I have a background in child care as well as child day camps. These experiences have instilled a strong foundation in my ability to care for children ranging in ages from 6 weeks to 14 years of age. In my experience working in a daycare I have acquired many skills ranging from lesson planning, meal preparation, changing diapers, outdoor play and so on. In addition, I am CPR certified, New York State certified daycare assistant and have acquired thirty hours in educational courses for childcare. My experiences have taught me the importance of helping children develop emotionally, socially, and physically. In addition, my Read more clinical experiences in the hospital settings in a variety of environments have further enhanced my caregiving skills. Also, I have been involved in summer basketball camps as a counselor serving as a role model, teacher, and caregiver. I believe these experiences make me a strong candidate for the position. In my current job, I have successfully collaborated with my provider, parents and most importantly the children. I believe my background, experiences, and education have prepared me well for this position.
