My name is Jade. I'm 18 years old and I am a recent high school graduate currently working toward earning a college scholarship in the near future. When I’m not babysitting, I spend a lot of my time writing music, singing, and playing guitar, which has been a big passion of mine for several years. I also absolutely love spending time with my family. I try to bring a carefree and positive attitude when spending time with kids. I genuinely enjoy doing activities with them, whether that’s playing games, doing crafts, going outside, or helping them explore their creativity. I also have a full driver’s license and reliable transportation, which allows me to help with school pickups and drop-offs, run errands, or take kids to activities if needed. In terms of experience, I have babysat three children at once, ages 6, 8, and 11. Watching multiple kids of different ages helped me learn how to balance different personalities, interests, and needs at the same time. Safety will always be my number one priority when caring for children, but I also believe babysitting should be a fun, positive, and memorable experience for them. I have completed certification through the American Heart Association in both child CPR and infant CPR. I have also taken the American Red Cross Babysitting Basics course. Through this course, I learned how to recognize safety hazards, handle common injuries such as burns, cuts, and bruises, and respond to emergencies including breathing issues and choking. I was also trained in techniques for understanding and managing children’s behavior, appropriate discipline methods, and choosing age-appropriate activities that keep children engaged and safe.
