I come from a very loving and close family and grew up as the oldest sibling and have had experience as early as the age of 14 watching my younger sister and brother. Throughout high school, I watched my neighbors four children who ranged from the ages 1-14. I also have experience babysitting children with special needs. I am currently attending SDSU where I am pursuing a degree in Human Development and Family Studies and plan to go on to graduate school to become a school counselor. I have a strong passion for helping children learn and grow and have recently this past year become a member of the Brookings Community Youth Mentoring Program. I was matched with a mentee in November and spend at least one hour a week doing some sort of creative, active, or fun activity together. I have volunteer experience in the Waverly South Shore and Read more Brookings Medary elementary classrooms, working with various personalities and needs of each child. I also love the outdoors, being active and doing creative activities.
