Hello! I am a full-time University student looking for opportunities to babysit this summer, May-August 2015! With cousins getting married and overseas touring with my University’s Theatre Company this summer, it’s difficult for me to fit into a more rigid part-time job. Filling your need for a babysitter would be the perfect fit for me! I count my most valuable childcare training to be watching my mother raise and homeschool 6 children. The kids in my family grew up very close, and I was entrusted early on with the care of my 3 younger siblings. Play and conflict resolution are engagements with which I am perhaps overly qualified! I began babysitting for children outside of my family when I was 13, and held several nanny and housekeeping jobs since then. As a Theatre student, I use this craft and passion of mine to become involved with the care of kids Read more as well. For the past two summers I worked for a Children's Theatre Camp in Anchorage, Alaska (once as an intern, and once as full-time staff) teaching 100 kids ranging in age from 8-18yrs old. Last fall while at school I volunteered in an after school program for at-risk 2nd graders teaching theatre games and exercises culminating in a showcase for their parents. I also have experience working in the nursery and with elementary-age children in Church Sunday schools. Beyond qualifications, I simply enjoy impacting the lives of children, and would jump at the opportunity to lighten your load by delivering a responsible, considerate, trustworthy and capable employee. If a kind of reprimand is necessary, I believe in enforcing a parent's rules, not my own. I love to encourage standards of respect, obedience and imaginative playtime that I learned from my mother, and always with a gracious, positive attitude.
