Hello! My name is Misty. 43 years old, and a mother of two teenage boys, 14 and 17. I live in Columbia TN and am currently looking for part time and possibly full time opportunities around my area. I am a TN Native, though I have travelled to 46 states, and 8 other countries. I also lived many years in California and Washington State as a Navy wife. As a youth, I babysat like most young ladies, and then upon moving to California and becoming pregnant with my oldest, I decided to became a professionally State and MWR Certified Navy In Home Child Care Owner/Operator. Shortly after moving to Washington state, I had as many as 8 active children in my home ranging from newborns to 7yo, including special needs children. During this time I won "Best in the West" for best Childcare 3 years in row. Also, while running Read more my CC full time, I put myself through nursing school, graduating with my nursing degree and a complete minor in Early Education. It was then I started nursing and raising my boys full time upon return to TN in 2010. I am very artistic, musical, outdoorsy, and energetic. I love kids, and since I early retired from Nursing when my husband passed away, I have just been doing random home care for Special needs patients and raising my sons. I am ready again to do what I honestly loved most in life, educating, exploring with, and enlightening young minds, as they tend to do ours.
