Hello! My name is Erica, I'm twenty-four and I am experienced in child care. I was born and raised in Franklin, Tennessee and graduated from Franklin High School. I worked as a party attendant and coordinator for a business called Pump It Up during my junior and senior year. After high school, I studied Early Childhood and Special Education at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for several years. Although I have not completed college yet, I would like to obtain an associates degree in Early Childhood and Special Ed so that one day I can become a homeschool teacher. During college, I worked as a nanny for a couple of families in the Chattanooga area. One family consisted of three children and another consisted of two children. The experience was very rewarding and I loved getting to give one-on-one attention to the children I cared for. I used what Read more I learned from college to work as a Preschool teacher in Poughkeepsie, New York. I learned how to build relationships with families, meet their needs, manage challenging behaviors and learn from fellow teachers. I obtained a CPR and First Aid certificate and was required to complete thirty hours of ongoing professional training. Some of the trainings included Foundations in Health in Safety and Managing Challenging Behaviors: Birth - 18 Months, 18 Months - 4 years. I enjoy swimming, drawing, art, gymnastics and cooking.
