I have been babysitting since I was in seventh grade to this present date. In highschool I became certified in Early Childhood Education by taking a 2-year pathway in Early Childhood Development then spent 4 hours everyday in my senior year with the preschoolers at our school as a teaching assistant. I have also been a part of care.com for years. I plan on pursuing an Early Childhood career and am consistently working with my mother during summers and babysit whenever I can. I love kids of all ages and understand the importance of having an accountable, knowledgeable, caring and experienced child care provider. I have full availability, and am flexible to accommodate your needs and emergencies. Not only do I have childcare experience but I was raised with a mother who has always been the administrator of some form of early childcare schooling or daycare. At a very young Read more age I remember the impacts that my teachers and my surroundings had on my views and opinions of the world. I believe deeply and fully that all children are sponges and if they are given and surrounded by the right and appropriate types of positive and negative reinforcements they can be great adults and build a strong future and a personal understanding of the world and how they contribute to it. I am a member of the honor society, beta club, chorus, soccer, and was given a rare opportunity in 7th grade to attend the People to People World Leadership Forum in Washington DC; I was given this amazing gift from my 4th grade teacher and the potential she saw in me. I do not take childcare lightly and know it is important for parents to trust and believe in their caregivers ability to be a positive role model and be efficient in how they care. I hope to get the chance to show any parent willing to designate me with this great responsibility that I do my babysitting as if it were my career, because one day it will be.
