I am a 50 year old mom of 2 grown children and current with my first aid and CPR certifications. I have over 10 years of nanny experience after receiving my bachelor's degree in secondary education at Indiana University, which I used to home-school my own children, in addition to tutoring children that I have taken care of over the years. Most recently, I took care of a 7 yr old boy, Cade, with autism and created a home-school program specific to his learning abilities for the past 2 school years, as well as, involved him in enrichment programs and activities that challenged him. This included farm visits and piano lessons, to teaching him how to swim (from being afraid to put his head under water to swimming competently under water without holding his nose). I worked along side Cade's ABA therapist and reinforced positive behavior and responses. In addition Read more to working with Cade, I also enjoyed cooking and preparing healthy evening meals for the the family. I had to leave my position with this family with a heavy heart as a result of the Covid19 epidemic.
