I have been married for 16 years to my wonderful husband and father to our kids. We have two boys, age 13 and 9. I love my kids and I love taking care of other kids. I have volunteered in the children's ministry at my local church multiple times. When I keep or watch children, I consider them my own. I would classify myself as more of a mom than a babysitter. I love doing things with my boys that they enjoy. Lately my youngest has become a swimmer, while the oldest is learning how to skateboard and play guitar. We have also participated in football and baseball teams as well as gymnastics. I want to help them find what they love doing and support it. I love cooking, reading books, hiking, photography and I just recently learned how to knit, which is fun (although there isn't much time to Read more read and knit). We have two dogs and one cat who love to sleep with us. We love listening to music as a family (and dancing) and find humor is sometimes the best medicine. We teach our kids that listening and obeying are the two most important rules to follow whether at home, school, church, a friend's house or other places. I will advocate for my kids. My oldest was diagnosed with Asperger's years ago. We have done a lot to help him - from trying gluten free diets to brain core therapy to finding a school that will accommodate his learning style. With regard to the youngest, I recently took action by contacting the Superintendent because I was not notified of an incident at his school (he was bullied during recess-hit with sticks and kicked-and none of the teachers witnessed this because they were not watching the kids). I have a full time job Mon-Fri 8-5 and am looking for extra part time work. I am willing to do whatever you need. I can clean, cook, pick up/drop off kids, change sheets, wash clothes, etc. In Aug. 2018, I received my Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED certificate. I take the opportunity to keep your children very seriously. I will follow specific instructions and communicate with you as much as you like. My kids are the most important thing to me and I will only leave them with the most trustworthy and responsible adults. Therefore I understand the need to get to know me and value the trust you put in me with your precious kids. I am available nights and weekends. I look forward to hearing from you!
