Hello! I’m Ali and I’m a senior at Union University studying Social Work. I plan to become an early childhood educator, to hopefully teach preschool. I started babysitting at around 13 yrs old. Throughout those years I have cared for multiple sets of siblings including a set of 3-year-old twin boys. I used to work full time at an in-home daycare in my hometown of East Prairie, MO. The age range there is from newborn to 13 yrs old. We always have anywhere from 4-8 children at any given time. I worked & cared for them in many ways, like creating lesson plans or crafts and learning activities for them. I absolutely adore my littles and always care for and protect them as if they were my own children. I love to keep the child active and engaged in whatever sparks their interests. I love to and believe in encouraging Read more the child’s imagination and creativity in play. I love to find new and exciting activities that entertain the child, but also believe that incorporating educational aspects in our play is as of just as much importance (if not more) as having fun. I am not and will never be a “just keep the kids occupied or busy” type of nanny/babysitter. I believe that children need well-rounded and well-balanced stimulation in order to continue to adequately grow in their physical, emotional, and intellectual development! But above all else I can promise you that I will, at all times, ensure that your child is well-cared for and feels and knows that he or she is safe and very much loved. Play is a child’s language! And I hope to be able to be a helping hand in giving you as the parent the peace of mind in knowing that your child will be well taken care of while you are out providing for and giving them the best life you work so hard to achieve. I am in college full time but I am currently on summer break and am now super flexible.
