Hi!! My name is Katie, I am 25 years old, and currently a graduate student at Vanderbilt. I am pursuing a Masters of Education degree in Child Studies and I love working with kids of all ages! In college, I double majored in Education and Psychology with a focus in Early Childhood Development. In addition to my background of knowledge of the developmental needs of children and adolescents, I also have 12 years experience working with kids in a variety of settings. I have been babysitting since I was 13, volunteered with infants and toddlers at a local daycare for 2 years, worked at an after school program as a tutor and facilitator of art projects with children ages 3-18 for 4 years, taught courses in middle school ESL and high school English and History, have 2 years experience working as a dorm parent in a residential special education school, Read more volunteered at a local park leading toddlers on nocturnal nature hikes, and most recently spent the last year working as a first grade tutor in MNPS schools. I also worked at the local animal shelter during my undergraduate studies and am very comfortable working with all pets.
