Hi, all! My name is Anna, and I’m a 19 year old college student. Outside of school I enjoy ceramics, reading, writing, and cozying up to my cat. When I’m not in school I work full time at a homeless shelter, where I teach classes and coordinate housing. I’m CPR certified with the Red Cross, and I get my recertification every two years. I was regularly caring for children from newborns to ten year olds within walking distance of my house throughout middle and high school, and I dog/housesit for folks in my hometown as well as tutor some of my friends’ elementary aged siblings. Due to my shelter job I have first aid training and crisis training, and my emotional intelligence is something I pride myself on. I’m very adaptive and I’ll help however I can; I take time to learn what works best for each person (regardless of Read more age) I spend time with. I’m communicative about goals and boundaries, and I’m happy to explain things in smaller chunks for children to understand the world around them. I’ve learned a lot from working with so many different people, and I hope to learn more with each person I talk to. I work weekdays from 6-2:30 downtown so school pickups, date nights, and weekends are all very compatible with my schedule.
