Hi, my name is Zoey, and my journey into the world of childcare began during my high school years when I had the incredible opportunity to intern at my local elementary school. During this time, I discovered my deep passion for working with children. This experience inspired me to join Kids R Kids East Allen, which has since been rebranded as Rise Academy. Over the course of approximately two years, I had the privilege of working in various capacities within the facility. I initially started in the after-school program, where I had the pleasure of engaging with older children and helping them with their homework and extracurricular activities. As time passed, I transitioned to working with younger children and eventually found my place in the infant room. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of age groups, spanning from 3 months to 12 years old. Additionally, Read more I have gained extensive experience working with children with autism. This has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the needs and nuances involved in caring for and interacting with children on the autism spectrum. Throughout each year of my employment, I participated in 30 hours of comprehensive training that encompassed a wide range of topics, including transportation safety, conscious discipline, positive guidance, SIDS, brain development, etc. Additionally, I hold certifications in CPR, first aid, and food handling. During my time at Kids 'R' Kids, I had the privilege of building deep and meaningful connections with the children and their families. It was incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact I had on each child's life. Being a teacher allowed me to foster growth and development in a truly special way. I cherished the opportunity to be a part of their learning journey and to contribute to their overall well-being.
