My name is Kourtney and I am a 29 year old board certified behavior analyst (which is a fancy way to say I am a behavior therapist). I've worked w/ children on the autism spectrum for almost 9 years. I am currently am assistant clinical supervisor, overseeing treatment, behavior programs and provide direct behavior therapy across all age groups. My typical job duties include implementing direct therapy to school aged children using scientifically proven teaching strategies that facilitate independence in daily living skills, communication, language development, social skills and positive behavior change. I have a masters degree in criminal justice w/ a concentration in behavior sciences from Saint Joseph's University. My bachelor’s degree is in speech, language and hearing sciences. I’m admittedly a bit of a nerd with a passion for early childhood education, early intervention and language development. Being the oldest of three, I’ve held jobs in childcare since Read more I was 13 years old I’ve worked in schools as a 1:1 support instructor, implemented in-home therapy, parent training, provide behavior support in the community and clinics. I’m originally from Maine and moved to Austin in 2017. I have my first aid & CPR certifications. I enjoy writing, running, Pinterest and interior decorating.
