Ever since I was a teenager I have loved working with kids. I babysat all my cousins while they grew up. I also worked as a Camp Counselor for the last three years and absolutely loved it! I mainly worked with girls ages six to ten. When I began college, my youngest cousin was diagnosed with Autism. I became immersed in the special needs world. I began to babysit younger kids who have Autism in my college town of Tallahassee, Florida. Two of the families I worked with had had two children on the spectrum. I loved working with these kids so I volunteered at an Autism Center and then became a Behavioral Therapist. In this setting, I worked with kids ages two to ten. I minored in Child Development and decided that I wanted to get my Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education. So, I am officially a Read more longhorn and looking to further my experience with children.
