Over the past 7 years, I have worked in a variety of settings caring for children between the ages of 4 and 12: For three summers, I worked at a Christian summer camp for children between the ages of 3 and 12. During my time as a Camp Counselor, I developed activities and curriculum for over one hundred students in elementary school. I also organized and chaperoned field trips for the students, including events at the Museum of Natural Science and Minute Maid Park. For the past four years, I have worked with the high school youth group at Redeemer Lutheran Church, where I lead worship and mentor high-school girls. In this position, I have coordinated a group of students to form a worship band, and I have also organized events for the students to engage in. Over the past year, I have also served as a social worker at Read more both an elementary school and a middle school. In these roles, I have provided behavioral, academic, and social support for at risk-students through individual and group counseling sessions. I have worked with a variety of administrators, teachers, students, and family members in order to provide exceptional care for these students. My passion is to empower children by focusing on their strengths and encouraging them to pursue their full potential.
