Hello! My name is Katy Laurel! I have just moved to the Bay Area from Santa Fe, NM. I have over 16 years of experience being a nanny, babysitting, working in behavioral health with children and teens, as well as being a leadership director for the girl scouts. I love playful education and bringing kids into nature. I have an undergrad degree with a focus in math, science, and philosophy (St. Johns College), making me an ideal tutor for any young ones seeking educational support. I am currently a director for a youth service that assist homeless youth with career and college advancement. I am hoping to supplement my income as I am new to living in the city and financially adjusting to working in behavioral health there. I spent my high school years helping raise my three little siblings, who are now 18, 16, and 11 years old. My Read more parents gave me the ability to be a mentor, role model, and a teacher. My most recent jobs include Behavioral Intervention Specialist for a RTC Charter School, a Mentoring/ Counselor Trainer position for the Girl Scouts out in west Texas, First Responder Lifeguard in Pensacola, FL, and a tutor for Sylvan. I have my BLS, CPR, AED, and First Responder license along with EMT training. I believe my enthusiastic help could contribute to your household in the perfect way!
