I've worked in classrooms (where the ages ranged from 4-10 years old) with up to 15 kids at once and took them on field trips to different parks, pools, museums, etc. in central Texas. I've also babysat for many different families where I helped the kids with homework, took them to after school activities, cooked for them and of course played board games, tag, video games, did arts and crafts, etc. with them. I'm good at finding common ground with just about anyone, have a gift for describing things in many different ways and am very kind with an open mind which really helps when working with children. When i began working with and helping children I was immediately blown away by their sense of wonder, creativity, the beauty they see in the world and their adventurous spirit. Working with children not only gave me hope/new appreciation for humanity but Read more I also found a job that made me happy as well keeping me motivated, entertained and allowed me to constantly be learning something new. Working with and helping kids is something that I absolutely love; what job is better than one where you're having fun, where both parties end up learning something from each other and restores/reiterates your hope for this world? That is priceless.
