Recently moved from Chicago to Kansas City to pursue working with children. Graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor in Social Work and a minor in Spanish. When I was in school I had the opportunity to work at a day care and volunteer at a women's shelter where I focused on spending time with the kids. Once I moved to Kansas City, I worked for the Department for Children and Families but was looking to spend more time with kids and be a present figure in their lives. For this reason, I now have the privilege to work for ReDiscover under the Show Me Zero Youth Suicide program where I get to spend time with kids who have suicide ideation as I become a support system for them. However, due to working for DCF I went through numerous of trainings that consisted of working with kids. In Read more addition, I have background experience working for a family of 5 kids, ages from 3- 10 for a year before moving to KC where I was able to get the job through Sittercity. Lastly, my plans for the future are to get my Masters in Social Work to be able to become a counselor at a Middle School.
