Hi, I am currently a senior at the University of Texas, studying economics. I have always been very independent and was already dreaming of starting my own baby-sitters club before I was old enough to stay home alone. I began taking care of my little brother at a very young age. Both my parents worked a lot and my older siblings were off at boarding school. I soon joined them and was eventually chosen to become a dormitory monitor for the middle school dorm after attending a leadership training camp. I was responsible for taking care of the kids, keeping them organized and out of trouble. I encouraged them to excel academically and was a mother away from home. It wasn't always easy being woken up in the middle of the night because someone was homesick or not feeling well, but it was always rewarding.
