Growing up in a very family-friendly neighborhood, I was always asked to watch the younger kids. I was never paid but could not care less- we always had so much fun. In high school I was constantly babysitting family friends, and when I got to college, I continued to babysit all thanks to my sorority alumni. I enjoy working with children because it a provides me a brief moment away from adults who see the world in numbers and figures. Kids see it in smiles and togetherness, in highfives and heartbeats. I get to grow alongside them, and for that I am grateful.
