I am a culinary arts diploma and a nutrition degree holder. I often babysat my nieces and nephews ever since I was 15. I was a camp counsellor at a summer cooking camp for children ages 9 - 11 years. As a counsellor, my responsibilities were teaching and guiding children knife skills, making sure they practice safety and educating them on nutrition/health benefits of foods that they were making. I am a very patient, easy-going, responsible, punctual and most of all, I love talking to any age groups. I am Servsafe certified therefore, I am knowledgable about food safety, safe food temperatures and hygiene. I was certified in first aid a while ago but I am willing to get re-certified if required by employer. I also worked at a retirement home as a server few years ago and I am able to accommodate to older adults needs (such as being Read more patient, speaking clearer/louder and assist on getting their walkers/sticks) I recently left my healthcare management job and is currently an after-school cooking instructor.
