I am 19 y/o and a first year college student at ACC. After I graduated high school in 2018 I took a gap year living with my oldest sister and her family. She is married and has 3 little boys (ages 5, 7, & 9) and a puppy. I wanted to spend my gap year with her because as a wife of a coast guard boatsman, she is basically a part-time single mom. Although I babysat my nephews a lot before, living with them abled me to help out in so many ways like dropping/picking them up from school, taking them to parks, baking and cooking with them, playing games, building forts, swimming, reading, night-time & morning-time routines, getting dressed, etc. I learned that every kid is special and balancing care-keeping with playfulness is what makes spending time with children so enjoyable. I am CPR (infant included) certified.
