Hi there! My name is Emily and I am a senior at Belmont University. I am studying chemistry and French with a pre-medical emphasis. I am the youngest of 4 kids - all of us are very close in age so you can imagine our house was pretty crazy. Although I am the youngest, I loved to help my parents out by making my siblings' lunches or cooking dinner for the family beginning when I was in middle school. Once in high school, I babysat for some of my family friends and I continued to do so during breaks in college. Additionally, I was a swim instructor for two summers during college. I taught both group and individual swim lessons to children of various ages. For the past few months, I have been tutoring a 7 year old weekly which has been really enjoyable. Amongst my three siblings, we all Read more have vastly different personalities, but I am able to relate to each of them in a unique way. I find this carries into my own life when I meet knew people including children. I am able to relate to them and build mutual respect. In my free time, I enjoy running, hiking, and going to concerts. I also enjoy volunteering at Abe's Garden Community where I lead a nature club for folks suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
