Hi! My name is Allison. For the past 8 years I've been an exemplary elementary art teacher; receiving awards such as 'teacher of the year' and 'above and beyond teacher of the year' due to my dedication to the students I taught, the communities I was a part of, the mentor programs I spearheaded, the professional development presentations I led, and for my evergrowing strengths in the profession. For now I'm taking a break from teaching but miss the kids and am excited for the opportunity to work with them in a new capacity. I am vegan, completely sober, patient, creative, reliable, amd trustworthy. Some activities I enjoy are painting, outdoor activities like hiking and disc golf, cooking, biology, taking care of plants, and thrift shopping. I have formal CPR training, emergency management training, stop the bleed training, equity-diversity-inclusion training and mindful teaching training. Most of my experience with children Read more ranges from ages 4-11, though I have experience with babies and older kids as well. A few other areas I have experience teaching besides visual art are theatre, story telling, recycling and gardening, and poetry. I will be happy to teach your children and provide extra activities for an extra fee. Lastly, I am seeking a new career path, this gig is an in-between. I am not going to be avaliable for long term positions, unless it was a top-tier position I couldn't refuse.
