I first started babysitting when I was 13 years old when a family friend came in to town and needed a sitter for a date night. Her son was very sweet and made me realize I love working with kids; even if that just means taking care of them for a night. Prior to that experience, I mainly watched other people’s pets (turtles, cats, dogs, etc.) however currently I have much more experience babysitting. I have twin younger brother who are currently 5 years old. On multiple occasions I have babysat them for 3+ hours while my mom went to run errands. They are by no means easy kids and were (still are) quite rambunctious but I made it work and entertained them instead to help get that energy out.
