Hello!! My name is Avalon Sanchez. I am a 2024 graduate from the University of the Incarnate Word. I obtained a scholarship to play softball for the university while earning my degree in Business Marketing. I have 2 years of sitter experience where I looked over two boys (6 years old & 10 years old). My duties included dropping and picking up from school, tutoring, and sports practices. I came up with engaging indoor and outdoor activities to keep the kids entertained and off the couch. We did lots of baseball/ softball, basketball, volleyball, and tennis. As well as arts and crafts like making collages, bracelet making, clay, and painting. I also helped with cooking dinner when the family was busy as well as making sure the kids had their homework completed and helped tutor whenever needed. I am energetic, optimistic, understanding , kind hearted, personable, caring, encouraging, and a natural born leader. I’ve always been drawn to working with kids. When I was in high school, I took two trips to Africa where I got the opportunity to lead sports camps and bible studies with children ranging from 4 year olds - 18 year olds. I also have experience working softball camps where I helped young girls develop their softball skills and their mental mindset. I was able to take the tool set I learned playing at such a high level and inspire young women to be the best they can be. I look forward to getting to know you and your family!
