Hi! My name is Michelle Kennelly. I am 29 years old and am new to the Austin area! I currently have a PT job as a farmer at a local wellness resort and am looking for a new family to babysit or nanny for (schedule can be flexible - days/evenings/weekends). I've been a Part Time nanny off and on for over 12 years and have experience with children of all ages, including infants and toddlers. I thoroughly enjoy my time spent with the children and families I work with and deeply value the opportunity to serve and share with each family. I take my role as a nanny and babysitter very seriously, not in the sense of being stern or strict with rules but rather in seeing the significance and importance of my position of impact. I love to play with kids and definitely tend towards physical activities, games, and tangible interactions, while screen time with movies and electronics can be more occasional and intermittent. I'm great with homework help and feel confident engaging kids with learning or schooling, regardless of education level. I love to cook and am more than happy to prepare healthy meals and snacks for your kids and even get them involved in helping or learning how to make simple things. Pets are no problem. I have experience with most animals and enjoy the company they provide. A few other things about me: I'm an Herbalist and have a small herbal business called Renewing Rhythms Apothecary. I love making plant medicines and remedies and have studied Eastern & Western traditions of natural health & healing. I'm a certified Yoga Teacher. I don't teach yoga classes but have been practicing yoga now for 9 years. I have a B.A. in Anthropology and worked as an archaeologist around the world before falling in love with farming and plant medicine.
