Hello, my name is Alex! I'm originally from Michigan and have lived in Texas for almost three years. I currently work full-time as a nanny for a wonderful family with two children. I'm also a trained and certified Newborn Care Specialist as well as a nursing student. Currently I'm available for occasional weekday evening and weekend babysitting. I love working with children and have been a professional nanny for 2.5 years. In addition to nannying, I have many years of childcare experience - ranging from babysitting, to working in a daycare, volunteering at a children's camp, and coaching in a youth soccer program. I have extensive experience with premature newborns, multiples, and feel confident caring for infants through school-age children. In my spare time, I love to read, practice yoga and take my dog, Ellie, to the park. I really enjoy the outdoors as well and take every opportunity possible to get outside with the kids - walks, playing with chalk, and gardening are some of my favorites! My primary focus is always the children, but I'm motivated and excellent at multitasking so additional responsibilities are no problem- I'm happy to help out with light housekeeping, grocery shopping, and other errands as needed. I am committed to personal growth and regularly attend classes and workshops to ensure I'm always providing the best care. I'm also a member of the International Nanny Association.
