I'm currently working on my undergraduate degree. I was required to take a child psychology class and I also have accomplished 11 early childhood education units.   I have experience working as a preschool teacher at Hearts & Hands Christian Preschool in California. I have worked as a nanny for a family going through an illness as well as a divorce.  I was responsible for the care of two school-aged children.  I am most comfortable working with children of any age. I also speak Spanish fluently, although I am a bit rusty at it, because most people whom I know prefer or only know how to speak English.  My personal philosophy is I feel that children need to be cherished, loved, nurtured and feel secure. Predictability and set routines are very essential.  I believe that guidance and shared involvement is very necessary in teaching them to become self-sufficent so that Read more they learn not to doubt their own abilities. I feel when it comes to discipline, children must be given appropriate choices for their actions. Childhood should be an enjoyable time of learning and growing.
