Hello! My name is Annie Snelson and I'm an 18 year old senior at IDEA Brownsville. I have never formally babysat before, but I have three younger cousins who were all born around the same time, and I've always loved taking care of them. They were all born when I was around 12 years old and at first I was unsure of what to do and how to handle them, but as they have grown, I realized how much I love caring for children. I consider myself to be a responsible young adult capable of taking care of young children because of the opportunities that I have had to live independently for extended periods of time. I believe that this characteristic is crucial when caring for young children because of the sheer amount of responsibility that comes with it. I enjoy art and cooking, and I love helping around the house. I also enjoy teaching and have tutored my peers at school, so I would be happy to help kids with homework and projects. I value school and education and am looking for flexible hours with someone who would be comfortable with my previous commitments to school organizations and events.
