I first became a caregiver as just a summer job looking after my neighbor's two sons. I've always loved kids, but after watching over the boys for 5 days a week for the time while I was out of school, I fell in love with the job, the kids, the connection I had with them. I went on to care for other children in my neighborhood when their parents needed a night out, went out of town, or whatever else the reason may have been. I've also been a student teacher for kindergarten giving me plenty of experience with multiple children at a time with different and unique personalities. For me, taking care of and looking over children is thought of more as fun than as work. :)
