I am graduating from SMU next week with a Master of Science in Counseling. My concentrations were Play Therapy and Expressive Arts Therapy. I have a true passion for helping, I work at a children's advocacy center and I have seen amazing results with the children I work with. Children love me and I LOVE children. My main focus is always on my relationship with each child. I believe a strong relationship facilitates cooperation, self-control, and self acceptance. I have over a decade and a half of experience with newborn to teens. I consider my specialty and prefer working with children ages 0-9. If your child is struggling with anxiety or low self-concept, I interact in a way that empowers them and increases feelings of security. This is why I joined the site. I'm great with household tasks such as straightening up, making meals for the children, and children's laundry upon request. I'm not as big on animals as I am children, although it's not necessarily a deal breaker unless they require more attention than the child. I also do not enjoy shuttling children to and from activities, although I don't mind picking them up from school and taking them home (my car is very small). Also, while I look young- I'm in my mid thirties!
