Hi, my name is Emma. I am 23 years old, and I’ve been living in the DFW area for 3 years now. My most recent nannying experience was with a wonderful family where I cared for their infant daughter 6-15 months and son age 11. I also have experience working at YMCA as a childcare provider where I started as a summer camp counselor and moved on to the afterschool program as a Site Leader/Site Director. At the YMCA, we followed a curriculum that provided social and emotional learning, physical education, and fun educational activities that include crafts and STEM projects. Before the YMCA, I was caring for children in my own family. Being the fourth of eleven children, I was often asked to help care for my younger siblings starting very early in my life. I also have experience working with children and adults with disabilities through volunteer work. I am a very active person with lots of energy. I love the outdoors, I am pet friendly, and I would love to do all kinds of activities with the kids, including swimming, sports, and day trips. I am responsible, organized, and love to thoroughly plan ahead of time. I am also CPR/AED/First Aid certified! Working with children has given me some of the best experiences and memories. The years I’ve spent working with children has taught me patience and acceptance - two qualities that are vital in cultivating an atmosphere where all feel wanted, loved, and are able to reach their fullest potential.
