Hello! My name is Nikita and I am a third-year college student pursuing a major in psychology and a minor in creative writing and/or biology. I have experience with children pre-school aged and older, along with tutoring experience in English and math. I am caring, reliable, enthusiastic and punctual. In addition, I am willing to do light housekeeping and cooking, and I have a car for transportation. Throughout my teenage years, I gained experience from several different jobs, such as customer service, cashiering, and lifeguarding. As a lifeguard at Hurricane Alley Waterpark over the summer of 2017, I was trained to learn CPR and basic safety procedures- essential information to know when taking care of children. I love children and have participated in many volunteering activities that involve spending time with them, including being a student mentor for a third grade girl over the course of my freshman year in Read more college. As her mentor, I drove to her elementary school once a week and joined her for lunch and recess. I have also volunteered for Adoption Awareness Day at West Guth Park, which consisted of me shadowing a specific child throughout the event. My other volunteering experiences include my time as a library volunteer at Janet Harte Library and Dr. Clotilde P. Garcia Library, and as a museum tour guide at Ivinson Mansion in Wyoming over the summer of 2012. In my free time, I like to read, write and spend time with my family and friends.
