Hi there! My name is Lexi, I'm a recent graduate from Texas State University and I recently moved to Durango, CO area to join family. I have always loved investing in kiddos lives and learning how to best encourage them based on their unique interests and personalities. I was a primary preschool teacher for two years for toddlers and I learned so much about how to help young children thrive through exploration, structure, and creating a safe environment. I nannied throughout college for 3-5 different families with children ranging from infant to pre-teen ages. I genuinely loved this time because I was able to see the kids grow, develop new interests, foster creativity, and establish healthy routines with them since I was in their lives for multiple years. I also have two nieces and a nephew, and have handled their primary care in all regards at different times since they Read more were newborns. Part of my nannying or babysitting always consists of tidying the house if I watch the kids at their place. I enjoy tackling some of the house chores and keeping it tidy so the caregivers come back to a peaceful home. If I had the opportunity to watch over your children I would prioritize creating a safe, respectful, FUN, creative, consistent environment for them! Some things I love to do is anything involving a river, hiking, reading, cooking and baking, and I love watching period pieces!
