Meet Maura

Please get to know me! I am in my first year of graduate school, working on earning my doctorate in occupational therapy. My passion is helping children with special needs gain functional independence and confidence! Before grad school, I worked as a registered behavior technician for about one year, providing individual applied behavior analysis therapy to children ages 2-8 with autism spectrum disorder. While in undergrad, I was a nanny to a one-year-old and a four-year-old. I provided after-school transportation and meal prep and arranged fun activities such as scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, dance parties, and park visits. I also worked as an after-school tutor, supporting elementary students with learning delays for four years. Right now, I am looking to do occasional babysitting on the weekends and weekday evenings (around my class/study schedule). I am Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certified through Red Cross and am certified as a Basic Read more Life Support Provider through AHA. On a more personal note, I love animals, baking, and outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and scuba diving.
