My preferable working schedule is from 9pm-9am. However, depending on the day and time, I can also work day time hours. Hi! I'm Nina. A mother to a teen boy on the Autism Spectrum and two other wonderful teens. I am a homeschooling mom of 12 years and have always been very active and hands on with my children. Teaching math, science, communication, social science, history & language arts for the past 12 years has really ramped up my knowledge in education. I love teaching and I love it when it can be done in the most natural ways. It's just the best when you can help a child gain more knowledge in a fun and relevant way that tailors to their age. I am a former special needs coordinator of over 47 students (was a coordinator for 4 years and established this program beginning with 3 students, one being Read more my son.) I was also a respite caregiver to special needs individuals who were diagnosed with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other diagnosis'. My responsibility as a respite worker was to go into the home and care for the child (bathe them, feed them, play with them, help them with academics, assist in sleeping, etc.) while the parent was out for their time of rest. I have tons and tons of patience. You kinda learn how to after raising a son who had severe meltdowns for years. :) I have been trained at the Autism Center of America in communication, eye contact, promoting language, natural play, behavioral techniques and most importantly acceptance and love of an individual exactly where they're at. I am familiar with cooking healthy meals, as we were on a gluten free, dairy free, all natural diet for 5 years. I would love to get in contact with you.
