I grew up the oldest of 2, but around 15 cousins, ages 3-10. Looking after them perfected my skills in organization, homework guidance, and keeping children of all capacities entertained, fed, and well prepared for all activities (school, holidays, projects for school) that followed. I served as an counselor at children's art camps at Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth, TX; I oversaw 20 children, ages 6-16, each spring break and summer. Organizing and running arts, crafts, and games for children has become one of my greatest skills. From 2008-2014, both during and after college, I served as a housekeeper in a recurring capacity, via the Task Rabbit app. I cleaned every nook and cranny of apartments, and performed any and all household-related tasks (kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms, laundry, dishwashing, garbage disposal, office organization, dry cleaning, groceries, party planning, dinner service). I love dogs and cats, and have taken Read more care of both. I love to cook and can whip up breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks at a moment's notice. For the same period of time I served as a nanny to two girls in Princeton, who were both toddlers in 2008 - they're now 8 and 10. I cooked meals for the family of 4, assisted with housework, and taught the girls how to bake. I've tutored classmates throughout grade school and college in all arenas of English/writing, literature (British and American), college essays and admissions. I'm an experienced writer, and I think this strength is of great value to children of all ages. Finally, the essence of being a nanny, to me, is to ease the lives of the parents concerned, and the best way to do this is to occupy their children. It would be my pleasure to look after, tutor, and provide aid to your children in any way I can. I babysat for a family - two children, ages 8 and 11 - in New York City from January to June. I now live in Toledo and am seeking employment nearby.
