I am 60 years old grandmother who has cared for children for a very long time. I was fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom, and I was very involved, at my daughters schools, Girl Scouts, and with the children at the church I attend. Before I had children, I was an very active volunteer at M. D. Anderson Hospital, in Houston. I created a Children's Sunday play center in the children's ward. I also was one of their Camp Counselors for five years; this was a week long, overnight camp for children with cancer and their siblings. Since 2009 I have closely worked with children who has special needs for the FWISD. I have worked with children with various degrees of Autism, developmental concerns with cognition, quadriplegic, and variety of other challenges. I am now work one on one with a sweet first grader who is a Read more paraplegic. Working with the FWISD I have had a thorough background check.
