I have many years of experience when it comes to all ages of children and backgrounds. My entire childhood I would assist my grandmother with any children that were placed in her home for foster care. I volunteered as an after school tutor at my local library when I was 13 until I was 16. I have worked at daycares, summer camps, and children church services. I currently am employed at a K-4th grade charter school where I work one on one with a second grader with down syndrome who has complications learning simple everyday tasks. I have challenged myself to make sure that I teach him as best as I can and he is now reading short stories, he's able to write all of his ABC's and most of his numbers. I enjoy helping children with their education and it certainly is very important to me. Outside of my Read more work with children, I enjoy singing, writing and shopping. I am skilled at many things but my best attribute thus far would be my willingness to make every day better than the one before.
