I have between 5-6 years of paid childcare experience but I actually have 7-8 years of experience taking care of children that’s aren’t my family’s! I first started volunteering in my church nursery at 12, and at 15 was hired on as a paid childcare employee. While doing that Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings I also helped out Sunday evening in my church’s awanas program mentoring children and teaching them about God. When I graduated high school I got hired as a counselor at a summer Christian camp! I loved going on adventures with the little kids and playing games! When I got back home I started cosmetology school and became a part time nanny to a special needs boy. I took care of him and his 4 siblings for about 2 years until I graduated! Now I am a full time hairstylist and try to get back to see them as much as possible! Aside from doing hair I help my sister take care of her children on some evenings. I have twin nieces so I have lots of experience with twins! Recently I’ve noticed I miss working with children!
